Christmas time. A time of cheer, a time of joy, a time to celebrate family, friends AND THAT FUCKING DOUCHEBAG NEXT TO YOU WITH THE GANG TATTOOS.
A fight broke out at the Christmas tree lighting in Love Park this evening. Mayor Nutter and other dignitaries were on-hand and so, too, was FOX Philly, whose cameras* captured a mild fracas just before the tree was lit:

Great. Now not only are we the city that threw snowballs at Santa that one time 40 years ago… but we’re also going to be the city whose inhabitants beat the shit out of each other at communal and joyous holiday gatherings. And to make matters worse, FOX couldn’t even make it through a 90-second live hit – about the fight – without a union member protesting (AT A CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY!) city contracts. It’s always sunny here.
*I absolutely LOVE “Silver Bells” being sung in the background just as FOX goes to Chris O’Connell to report on a melee.
