Gotta get a mom shout out on the website today.

Turns out Jason Kelce’s mom is just as loyal as he is, because on Sunday she was in attendance for the Eagles game in Tampa Bay, and then immediately flew to Kansas City to watch the Chiefs blow the doors off Big Ben and the Yinzers:

Now that’s pretty cool. A quick check of Expedia reveals that it’s a three hour flight from Tampa to Kansas City, but you gain an hour as you change time zones. So if Donna left south Florida around 5 p.m. or so, she would have gotten into KC at 7 p.m., about an hour before kick off at Arrowhead.

That’s pretty badass. Would your parents fly halfway across the country to watch you play after your brother or sister played an earlier game? Maybe, maybe not. It was probably hard enough driving your ass to South Jersey for that all-day basketball tournament ten years ago.

Donna even got in on the Zoom call after Travis Kelce and company rag dolled the Steelers:

“What’s up mom, I’m glad you made it!”

We’re not sure if there’s an actual mother of the year award, but if there is, Donna Kelce is an early frontrunner in 2022. What a family. Talk about genuine and loyal and dedicated. And her sons are both borderline Hall of Famers as well. They got some good genes, the Kelce family.
