NFL news on Super Bowl Sunday:

Should the Eagles trade for Carson Wentz? Your phone calls at 215-592-9494.

But on a more serious note, Indy moving on from Carson after just one season would be astounding. The guy threw 27 touchdowns and seven interceptions last year. He had his requisite untimely gaffes and fumbles, since he’s Carson Wentz, but reading about the guy on Twitter you’d think he was Mike Glennon or Jake Fromm. He wasn’t Mike Glennon or Jake Fromm, but he wasn’t Joe Burrow either. He was a league average quarterback on a team that ran the ball heavily.

This reeks to me of owner Jim Irsay delivering some kind of ultimatum to GM Chris Ballard and head coach Frank Reich, like “get it together this year or else you’re both fired.” Ballard and Reich I would assume don’t trust Carson to save their jobs, so they’ll move on from him and try somebody else. No clue who that quarterback is, because they don’t have a ready-made starter behind Carson, but I’m very curious to see what they pull off.

And then where does Carson go? Pittsburgh? Arizona? What about the Warshington COMMANDERS? Does he become a backup? This is craaaaaazy, like the guy in those Kia commercials says.
