Rob Ellis, D Gunn, and Barrett Brooks Teaming Up for New Weekday YouTube Show

One of the things that’s interesting about media in 2022 is that streaming shows have entered a space previously occupied by traditional television and radio shows.

JAKIB Media produces two of those shows, Birds 365 with Jody Mac and John McMullen, and The Middle with Dan Sileo and Barrett Brooks, and now they are launching a third show that will air from noon to 3 p.m. five days a week.

THE NEW SHOWwill debut on Monday, April 18, and will feature market radio/TV Star, Super Bowl champion Barrett Brooks and award-winning Philadelphia football reporter Derrick Gunn, who will showcase the depth of their success every day of the week across The JAKIB Media Network.

SPORTS TAKE w/ R–B–D, THE NEW SHOW will deliver insider information, spirited debate, and quality guests while entertaining the audience. 

“I‘ve been waiting for a long time to do this every day,” said Derrick Gunn, the most trusted Eagles reporter over the past two decades. “I have a great friendship and incredible respect for Rob and Barrett.” 

“Derrick, Barrett, and I bring a unique blend of strong opinions, inside information, perspective, and analysis from a former professional athlete‘s point of view. None of us are afraid to laugh at ourselves, each other, or sports, so you can expect the show to be entertaining,” said Rob Ellis. 

Barrett Brooks, now a media darling locally and nationally with his work on multiple major networks provided this guarantee, “Once you watch the show, you will become a raving fan.” 

Again, the show will broadcast Monday to Friday from noon to 3 p.m.

Brooks and Gunn had both been working with JAKIB in some capacity already, Brooks on The Middle and Gunner on the Eagles post game show that also features Marc Farzetta, McMullen, Lane Johnson, and Devan Kaney. Rob, as you know, does some shifts at WIP these days. He was previously with WIP in a full time capacity, then went to the Fanatic as part of the Josh Innes shitstorm shuffle, then left 97.5 and resurfaced at 94.1. He previously worked with Barrett on Breakfast on Broad, produced by NBC Sports Philadelphia.
