Vintage Stephen A. Smith on a Monday. He went off on a former Sixer and a current Sixer. No holds barred. Laying the smack down.

Let’s begin with Screamin’ A wondering how Ben Simmons injured his back:

“WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?”

Allow me to answer that for you. Ben Simmons was playing Horizon: Forbidden West on Playstation 5. His controller battery ran out. When leaning over to grab the cord and plug it back in, he tweaked his back significantly and now is out. He hopes to “ramp up” activity as we get closer to the playoffs. There will be no further comment at this time.

Now, here’s Stephen A on Matisse Thybulle:

I will go a little easier on Thybulle because if he doesn’t want the vaccine it’s his choice. Whatever. But Screamin’ A is right, because you got one dose, so the shit you don’t trust is already in your system. Might as well get the second shot and join your team in Canada and allow yourself to play. He makes a good point when he talks about Kyrie Irving at least taking a stand, because in Matisse’s case, he’s got one foot in the door and one out the door. He’s in vaccine limbo. Jab purgatory. Inoculation stasis. You gotta be all-in or all-out or else you’re nowhere and now ineligible to play three games in a possible seven game series.
