Woj confirmed the MRI on Joel Embiid’s thumb will require surgery, but not until after the season:
Joel Embiid will require surgery to address the ligament tear in his right thumb, but that procedure will wait until after the Sixers' season, sources tell ESPN.

This is just business as usual. If there is anyone who has the pain tolerance to play through an injury to a major appendage it’s Joel Embiid. As long as ‘Good Tobias’ keeps coming around and Scott Foster won’t be there, then everything will be good. Positive vibes only. If you’re scared get a dog.
