Charles Barkley joined Danny Green on his latest episode of the Inside the Green Room podcast, and the general rule is that whenever Charles does an appearance on any platform, he drops something quote-worthy.

On Danny’s pod, he touched on a couple of topics, first, talking about DeAndre Jordan coming back into the lineup in Joel Embiid’s absence:

“DeAndre needs to be sitting over there beside Doc Rivers and those guys. It’s over for DeAndre. He’s had a hell of a career, but he can’t play, especially in today’s NBA.”

He’s not wrong. This was the consensus even before the Sixers went out and got Jordan. DJ has had a fantastic NBA career, but everybody seems to know that it’s over. Everybody except Daryl Morey and Doc Rivers.

Here’s Charles talking about what James Harden needs to do in this series:

“He gotta be more aggressive.”

Agree with Danny on this. Harden doesn’t need to score 30+, especially if Tobias Harris has another good game and Tyrese Maxey is looking like himself. Miami is not a huge team, so if you can go small and try to win this “track meet,” that’s not a bad strategy.

One more clip, with Chuck talking about being drafted by the Sixers:

He’s told this story before, but it’s worth hearing again.
