That Might Do it for Danny Green’s NBA Career

The Sixers confirmed national reporting that Danny Green suffered tears of the ACL and LCL in his left knee in Game 6 on Thursday night.

Awful man. That was tough to watch live and on replay.

Danny turns 35 this summer and enters the final year of his contract, which is not guaranteed. You might recall he did the extension last summer after his previous deal, signed before the Al Horford trade, expired.

If that’s it for him, what a brutal way to go. He had some good games in these playoffs and stepped in to start for Matisse Thybulle, who was ruled ineligible for play in Toronto because of the COVID thing. Danny won three rings with three different teams, and so if his career is over following this rehab, he’s got a fantastic resume to look back on.
