Ever been to the Hockey Hall of Fame? It’s in Toronto and it’s cool. There’s a ton of unique items and it’s worth going even if you’re not a big fan of the sport.

As you know, Al Morganti and Bill Clement are both going into the HOF this year. Al is being recognized with the Elmer Ferguson Memorial Award and Bill is getting the Foster Hewitt Memorial Award. Some guy shared this photo on Twitter, which I’m gonna go ahead and say is Al’s plaque that goes up on the wall:

“a local sports radio morning show”

What, no love for WIP? Come on now.

Al’s award is “is an accolade presented annually to a print newspaper columnist or reporter in recognition of their achievements covering the game of ice hockey,” according to Wikipedia. Clement’s nod goes to members of the radio and television community who exhibit excellence over the years.

Next up? I believe Ant San Filippo and Russ Joy will be inducted AT THE SAME TIME. Both deserve the HOF for their excellent contributions to Philadelphia hockey journalism and podcasting.

The induction ceremony is tonight at 8 p.m. on NHL Network.
