We mentioned Alex Ovechkin in the Brittney Griner post. Guy plays for the Capitals and loves Putin, so therefore he’s on the shit list.

Anyway, what did you make of this? –

Dunno. Not sure what Ovechkin is expected to do here. Every NHL player would have scored that goal. My first thought was that maybe TK was annoyed that he skated it into the net instead of just shooting.

Here’s what he said after the game:

“It might not have looked as bad. I just didn’t like – I personally thought he deked it and put it in his backhand, but maybe it wasn’t as bad as I thought.”

Seems like a nothing burger. For what it’s worth, this is what Ovechkin had to say:

Q: What was Konecny mad about?

Ovechkin: “They lost. They have character and a good group of guys. Obviously, frustration. It’s a game.”

Torts didn’t seem to give a shit one way or another, saying “I didn’t even watch it. Who cares about that? The game’s over. I didn’t even watch it.”
