Both coordinators are in demand for interviews, which is funny because if you read Twitter or listen to the radio, you’d think Shane Steichen and Jonathan Gannon both suck ass and will be the reason the Eagles do not win the Super Bowl this year. Folks are already lining up Brian Johnson and Vic Fangio as replacements, even though the prevailing thought is that Fangio will follow Sean Payton to his next gig and become his defensive coordinator there.

Steichen received very little criticism until the last three games this season, two of which featured Gardner Minshew under center and the third which saw the return of Jalen Hurts and elimination of ALL DESIGNED QUARTERBACK RUNS FROM THE PLAYBOOK. Most people were able to comprehend what was going on against the Giants, but yeah, they probably could have just given the ball to the running backs a more times. It doesn’t matter. They won the game and no one got hurt, so mission accomplished.

Houston, Indy, and Carolina all need a quarterback, so Steichen has to consider that. Houston ownership seems corny, and Jim Irsay is a nutjob, but Indy is a solid job with a good GM and great fans, so that would be my preference if I were him.
