Even Pennsylvania’s Governor Would Boo Ben Simmons

Josh Shapiro is a huge Sixers fan. He once filmed himself taking his family to Wendy’s for a free Frosty after Domantas Sabonis bricked a couple of free throws back in 2019.

He was Pennsylvania Attorney General at that point, but he’s Governor now, and he went on Mike Missanelli’s podcast this week, saying this about Ben Simmons:

Shapiro has pretty good NBA knowledge. Seems like he’s much more than a casual fan or a politician doing the “rah rah” thing for his constituents. He is a Montco guy, after all, and it’s a stone cold fact that Jewish guys from Montco love basketball. I bet that if you put Shapiro on a panel with Stephen A Smith and Bill Simmons that he’d hold his own or even drive the conversation.

disclaimer: this is not a political post. Crossing Broad has no political stance. If Doug Mastriano ripped Ben Simmons we’d write about it too
