Cross Vic Fangio off the list for Eagles defensive coordinator. He had agreed to become the Dolphins’ defensive coordinator several weeks ago, but with Jonathan Gannon leaving for Arizona Tuesday, the thought was that MAYBE the Birds could throw him a huge bag and get him to renege at the last moment. That did not happen and so Fangio, who helped with the Super Bowl prep and hung around NovaCare during training camp, will be going to Miami officially.
This will not be a Frank Gore or Nemanja Bjelica situation. No last minute change of heart or anything like that. Fangio is gone, so we look elsewhere for a new DC.
