Adam Schefter was on Pardon My Take last week, where he mentioned the Eagles had a contract in place for Allen Robinson, but it fell apart, which led to the Birds trading for A.J. Brown:
Schefty breaking down how close the Eagles were to having Allen Robinson instead of AJ Brown on Pardon My Take. That’s some butterfly effect stuff right there pic.twitter.com/PbMDN8Cr7L

Man, remember when we were crushing Howie Roseman for missing out on Robinson and JuJu Smith-Schuster in free agency? We thought no one wanted to play for the Eagles and with noodle-arm Jalen Hurts. Then Howie goes and trades for Brown on draft night and he sets the single-season franchise record in receiving yards and we go to the Super Bowl. It could’ve been Russell Wilson and Robinson. What a bullet dodged by Howie. Lets look at the tale of the tape from last season:
Touchdowns:
- A.J. Brown – 11
- Allen Robinson – 3
Receiving Yards:
- A.J. Brown – 1496
- Allen Robinson – 339
Catches:
- A.J. Brown – 88
- Allen Robinson – 33
Tweets deleted:
- A.J. Brown – 15
- Allen Robinson – 0
Now everything in LA is falling apart and the Rams have given Robinson permission to seek a trade after one season:
The #Rams have given WR Allen Robinson’s agents permission to seek a trade, and L.A. is willing to pay a portion of Robinson’s $15.25 million guaranteed salary to facilitate a deal, per sources.
