Free Agent James Bradberry Says “There’s Definitely Interest from the Eagles”

Makes my skin crawl to share a tweet from J***** A*******, but we are an honorable blog and will always give credit where it’s due:

A few weeks/months ago, it seemed inevitable that Bradberry would walk and the Eagles would roll with Darius Slay and another corner in 2023. Then you get the report about Slay getting permission to seek a trade, and the current ZEITGEIST of the moment seems to capture this thought that maybe the Birds keep Bradberry and Slay takes off instead.

The latter scenario would be complemented by the Eagles perhaps using the #10 selection on a cornerback. One of Christian Gonzalez, Devon Witherspoon, or Joey Porter Jr. will be there, and you’d have a starting corner on a rookie deal opposite Bradberry (or Slay, if he sticks around).

There are so many moving parts that it’s really hard to write anything about what the Birds might do. They have so many free agents that doing hypotheticals could take you down so many possible paths. We need the first shoe or two to drop, then we’ll have a more clear picture of spring and summer roster building.
