“I Ain’t Fucking Done Yet,” Says Jason Kelce, Announcing Eagles Return

He’s coming back:
I have put much thought into whether it makes sense to play another season. After talking it over with my wife and many other friends and family, I have decided to return for another year. Thank you to all my supporters and detractors for fueling me, I ain’t fucking done yet!

I don’t blame Kelce for coming back. He’s still playing at an extremely high level. The Eagles just went to the Super Bowl. The quarterback is excellent. Football careers are short, and you’ve got the rest of your life to sit on your ass and do nothing and/or slide into a media career, so you might as well play until you can’t hack it anymore.
The only quirk here is that Kelce’s replacement was drafted in 2022. Cam Jurgens sat behind him this season, and will sit behind him again unless Isaac Seumalo walks and the Birds decide to slide Jurgens over to guard for a year. That’s not the worst thing in the world, but they did use a second round draft pick on him, so he’s gotta get on the field sooner rather than later.
Go Birds.
