Tony DeAngelo Mostly Mum on “Ridiculous” Healthy Scratches

Tony DeAngelo didn’t play after April 4th. He was a healthy scratch for the final stretch of the Flyers’ season, with John Tortorella recently claiming he hadn’t spoken with the defenseman.
An update on that, finally:
Tony DeAngelo meets with the media from @FlyersTCenter. #FueledByPhilly https://t.co/GTx34K3rCr

“I think it’s ridiculous I didn’t play the last five.”
Must have been something behind the scenes. TDA and Torts don’t wanna talk about it. Torts evaded the question several times.
For what it’s worth, DeAngelo has another year on his contract at $5 million. Chuck Fletcher traded a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th round draft pick to get him, so it now it’s gonna be up to Danny Briere and company to figure out where to go from here.
