Don’t Ask Jalen Hurts About His Knee Injury

Jalen Hurts seems tired of answering questions about the health of his knee:

In honor of Kinkead being out sick today let’s use the trademarked philosophy of Kinker’s Two Things Can Be True Theory. Yea Mike Sielski has to do his job and ask. People want to know any little update on the knee of the franchise QB. Of course any answer he gets will be aggregated by Dov Kleiman, which it already has lol:
#Eagles QB Jalen Hurts was asked by media about his knee — does it feel any better, any worse?
Hurts got up and left.

Plus it’s not like Jalen wasn’t already on his way out. It’s not like he took one question, was asked about his knee, and stormed off.
On the other hand we already know it’s a bone bruise. It’s not going to heal the rest of the season. It probably feels the same way it’s felt every Wednesday since he injured it. I can’t blame him for not answering the question. It’s nothing we haven’t seen before. He downplays everything and gives the media nothing. He comes from the Nick Saban school of Rat Poison and he graduated first in his class. Being asked about your knee a hundred times in a hundred different ways has to get old. Imagine if for one week every year the players get to turn it on the reporters and only ask them questions while it’s being broadcasted to millions. Could you see Brandon Graham peppering Sielski about what he’d do different in a column or asking him about his home life?
Mike, the meat loaf was a little under-seasoned on Wednesday for dinner. Do you think the wife needs to bench you to send a message?
I’d watch those press conferences.
Right now Sielski is going at it with the fans which I feel like he finds himself doing weekly. The guy seems to always step in shit with every fanbase in the city or maybe he’s just really good at getting a reaction:
The next time I allow an athlete or a coach to dictate to me what questions I can ask will be the first. #Eagles https://t.co/r2N50Rf74v

The idea that nobody cares about an injury to the #Eagles’ franchise quarterback is ridiculous. And for the record, I already had been designated to ask the last question of the availability. Jalen didn’t walk out because of my question. He was leaving anyway. https://t.co/Qi1GttpLiw

Even his own employer’s social account. God my skin crawls when someone says “Do Better”:
Guys, I work for WIP. Do better. https://t.co/VfvrKOiVvx
