Quez is a free agent after this season, so it’s kind of a moot point, but he’s a good case study for where the Eagles fanbase stands in 2024. Are we backing the guy for the postseason or sardonically congratulating him on a future one-year prove it deal with the Carolina Panthers? Trea Turner, Quez is not.
On one hand, Jalen Hurts never targets Quez. 11 of his 21 targets this season took place in the garbage season finale. With A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Dallas Goedert in the fold, there just wasn’t much of a role for WR3. But when the ball was thrown his way, stuff like this happened:
Is it the best throw? Take it how you will.
But a Wide Receiver, who is taught to attack the ball at its highest point, just makes 0 effort to even make a play for the ball.

These guys aren’t very good at reading the room. The Eagles got blown out by a terrible team in their season finale. Quez got a bunch of garbage time/garbage game targets and turned one into a touchdown, then celebrated like he beat prime Champ Bailey on a jump ball. I get that you’ve gotta be confident in yourself, but it looks ridiculous on social media.
