94 WIP Teasing New Afternoon Host

94 WIP is set to replace Jon Marks on P.M. drive, and they’re running this tease across all dayparts:

Not a ton to glean from this, though it more or less confirms that Jack Fritz will not be replacing Marks. This sounds to me like it’s going to be new host, Ike Reese, and then Jack in his hybrid producer/third mic job. There would be no reason to run a tease if Jack was getting Jon’s job. The only plausible explanation otherwise would be switching to a setup with three hosts and a producer, which is HIGHLY unlikely considering 94 WIP’s owner just filed for bankruptcy.

I’m not sure who this new person is, and not yet ready to set odds at the Crossing Broad sportsbook, but will get to efforting. Gotta make some phone calls. I’m working on a couple of other interesting media nuggets at the same time and manpower is short, because we’re a 2.5 person blog. Of course the Jamie Apody mystery remains unsolved. We have the right-to-know legal battle involving the Sixers’ arena communications and an outstanding Philadelphia Inquirer pay dispute as well. We need to tie up some of these loose ends. It’s coverage you can count on.

EDIT – I know some people are focused on the hard J sound in the clip. I have no idea if that’s relevant or random. But if it is indeed someone with a J or G sound, then we’d have to narrow our focus to folks like Jason Kelce, Gerry McNamara, Jaws, Jessica Alba, George Clooney, and Gigi Hadid.
