Ontario Police Provide an Update on When We’ll Get an Update on Hockey Canada Scandal

Looks like we’re not gonna get anything official on the Hockey Canada scandal until next month:

As we mentioned on the site earlier, Carter Hart, Dillon Dube, Alex Formenton, Michael McLeod, and Cal Foote have all taken leaves of absence from their respective teams, COINCIDENTALLY with London police getting ready to file charges in the 2018 sexual assault case. All five were teammates on the World Juniors Roster, HOWEVER – no one has been charged with anything right now. I REPEAT! – no charges right now, lest we be accused of BASELESS speculation. We’re currently in a window where police have asked the accused to present themselves as we inch painstakingly closer to a ruling in this case, which was settled in 2019 and reopened in 2022.

Obviously there’s a procedural thing taking place here, and a period in which THE ACCUSED must turn themselves in, but my main reaction is this:

WELL? WE’RE WAITING!
