The Eagles sign DeVante Parker for $1.2 million guaranteed:

Schefter: “Eagles and former Patriots WR DeVante Parker reached agreement on a 1-year, $4.69 million fully guaranteed deal, of which Philadelphia has to pay only $1.2 million, with New England paying the rest. ‘DeVante is thrilled and grateful to become a Philadelphia Eagle and to help this elite organization win a championship,’ said Parker’s agent Jimmy Gould.”

I think this is the first time I’ve ever seen an agent make a statement for their client in the initial tweet signing. They’re flipping the game on its head over there at that agency.

This is a low risk, low reward move. See what Parker has as a WR3 option and the Eagles can still take a look at someone in the draft. Or maybe he’s being used to get James Bradberry’s confidence back up in camp. DeVante Parker is that annoying guy that stands too close behind you at the deli. He doesn’t understand the meaning of personal space:

The Eagles get DeVante Parker in the same year the Sixers get Buddy Hield in the same year the Phillies get Whit Merrifield. Every rumor is finally coming true. If the Flyers land Johnny Gaudreau, the prophecy will be completed.
