The Clippers are down 3-2 in their first-round series against the Mavericks, with James Harden scoring 7 points on 2-12 shooting in Game 5:

It’s incredible. The guy’s floor is as low as the ceiling is high. We’re talking about the same Harden who, in Game 4 on the road, scored 33 points on 12-17 shooting and went 4-5 from three. Throw in seven assists, six rebounds, and a perfect 5-5 from the free throw line. And he was good in Game 3, too. 21 points on 13 shots and a 5-8 mark from downtown.

He’s certainly not the only reason the Clips are facing elimination. Paul George has had a handful of clunkers and Kawhi Leonard is injured again. But it’s such a head scratcher, these rollercoaster type of Harden performances. We watched the guy singlehandedly win two games against the Celtics last year and push the Sixers to the brink of the Eastern Conference Finals. Then he finishes the series with two games in which he shoots 7-27 from the floor, 1-11 from three, and turns it over 10 times. How is it possible? How does the guy go from the highest highs to the lowest lows in the span of 48 hours?

HOW DO YOU DO THAT?

But enough of that. We gotta focus on our team now. Sixers in 7.
