The Phillies blew a 4-0 lead on Wednesday night, but at least we got this:

<inaudible> right, but the timer’s different so, out of respect for somebody who’s been in the league over 10 years, you gotta fuckin’ speak up brother.

Now, if Angel Hernandez, Joe West, or CB Bucknor was behind the plate, would Castellanos have been tossed? Knowing those three, they would have taken it personally and ejected him from the game. Then Rob Thomson comes out and it’s a full-blown situation. To this guy’s credit, he’s just sort of nodding along, and we mercifully avoid an ump show.

Not that anyone necessarily cares after a loss like that one, but Castellanos had a good game. 2-4, two runs scored, a double, a triple, and a walk. He’s now slashing .250/.308/.341 in June with a .863 OPS. The season numbers still lag behind, but he has  nine hits in his last nine games and just five strikeouts. The Phillies no longer own baseball’s best record, since the Yanks keep winning, but they’re 46-21 with a 10 game division lead. We move on to the next one. OTTNO.
