The Phils and Flyers will both have IBX on their uniforms now. (EDIT – Union also, that was new for 2024) Dan Hilferty, who is now Chairman and CEO of Comcast-Spectacor, ran Independence Blue Cross before switching jobs about two years ago.
The SBJ story notes that the patch will be first be worn tomorrow, Wednesday, against the Yankees:
“Independence Blue Cross (IBX) has been a Phillies sponsor for 36 years and is a heavy buyer of sports media and marketing assets in the Philadelphia market. The IBX portfolio includes sponsorships with every major Philadelphia pro sports franchise, notably the Flyers’ first uniform ad patch prior to last NHL season.”
Here’s a look at the Flyers’ patch on Coots’ shirt:

I’ll throw a Phillies image up here when we have one. Hopefully it matches the uniform and doesn’t stick out with some weird clashing colors. The Phils getting their patch now means that the Eagles are the only team in town without any kind of sponsor logo on the jersey. It’s IBX for the Phils and Flyers, Crypto.com for the Sixers after initially starting with StubHub, and then the Union have been wearing BIMBO on the front of the shirt since 2011 and now have the IBX patch. And across the NL East, the Braves have the yellow QUIKRETE patch, the Mets NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, and Marlins ADT. The Nats are one of the dwindling number of MLB teams without a sleeve sponsor.
