Did Joe Davis Know that Jalen Hurts Left the Game with a Concussion?

Joe Davis said this line about a half dozen times on Sunday afternoon. He seemed totally flummoxed as to why Washington was able to hang with the Eagles before winning it late:

“Four turnovers from Washington, so you got no shot, right? But they got the lead?”

Why?

BECAUSE JALEN HURTS LEFT THE GAME WITH A CONCUSSION AND KENNY PICKETT WAS PLAYING QUARTERBACK FOR THE EAGLES!!! BECAUSE WASHINGTON SOLD OUT TO STOP THE RUN AND MADE PICKETT THROW THE BALL!!! BECAUSE THE EAGLES WERE LIMITED WITHOUT HURTS’ RUNNING ABILITY AND COULDN’T DO JACK SHIT IN THE RED ZONE!!! (AND ALSO BECAUSE THE DEFENSE GAVE THE COMMIES A FREE TOUCHDOWN AFTER A MISCOMMUNICATION AND PERSONNEL MISTAKE!!!)

That’s why it was a close game. Mostly because one of the league’s best quarterbacks was knocked out early. Pickett didn’t even play that badly, and if DeVonta Smith catches that late pass, the Eagles win. But if Hurts is in there, it’s over in the third quarter.

Carry on.
