Kody Clemens has been told that he’s made the Opening Day roster, per Todd Zolecki and Matt Gelb:
Kody Clemens has been told he will make the team. The Phils will try to trade Buddy Kennedy in the next few days. If they can’t trade him before rosters are set Thursday, he will be DFA’d.

Clemens and Buddy Kennedy were fighting for the last two spots throughout camp since Weston Wilson went down with an injury. The Phillies opted to take another left-handed bat on the roster.
Kennedy was working more in the outfield throughout the offseason and a bit during spring training, but the Phillies ultimately went with Clemens. The team will reportedly try to trade Kennedy before Thursday’s deadline to finalize the roster. If a trade doesn’t happen, he’ll be designated for assignment.
The roster is now unofficially set. Matt Strahm is not yet confirmed as 100% good to go, but Michael Mercado being optioned was a good sign there. Barring anything crazy, this is your Opening Day roster:
