The Streets are Calling Him Cyjuan Walker After Another Scoreless Outing

Who thought Taijuan Walker was gonna show out this early in the season? Who thought you’d be more annoyed with Alec Bohm than Walker this early? Nobody. Through two starts he’s 1-0, has 9 K’s, and a WHIP of 1.13. He battled last night and got the Phils out of some jams:

He now hasn’t given up a run in 10.2 IP this year, only four other pitchers in the MLB can say that. The Phils are also 2-0 in his starts. Two straight scoreless outings. His velo topped off at 93. He’s got the curveball working again. This time last yer through two starts he had given up nine runs, three home runs, 13 hits, and had a 6.39 ERA in 12.2 IP. Thanks to the Phillies bats he was 2-0, but we all knew it was a train wreck waiting to happen.
