The Phillies are in the perfect weekend rebound spot. They’re a -185 favorite on the series line at DraftKings to beat the Cardinals in St. Louis. It’s fairly straightforward and you probably don’t need 400 words to make that bet. Aaron Nola, Cristopher Sanchez and Zack Wheeler will toe the rubber at Busch Stadium, starting with Nola on Friday. The Phils have the edge in all three pitching matchups versus Andre Pallante, Miles Mikolas and Matthew Liberatore.

The Cardinals have the second-worst ERA in the majors at 5.24. Only the Brewers have a worse staff ERA. Pallante is the best of the three starters the Cardinals are trotting out this weekend, but he only has a 3.86 ERA and he’s allowed eight hits and five walks in two starts.

Mikolas got absolutely rocked by the Red Sox for nine runs on 11 hits in 2.2 innings in his last outing. He’s a shell of himself and the Phils have some incredible head-to-head numbers versus the veteran right-hander. Nick Castellanos has two home runs and a .231 BA in 26 ABs, Alec Bohm has a .500 BA in 12 ABs, Trea Turner has a .318 BA and, hell, even Brandon Marsh and Johan Rojas have career BAs over .400 versus Mikolas, albeit in less than 10 ABs, but that’s still significant. Liberatore’s allowed more than a hit per inning and let up eight earned runs across 12.1 innings of work.

I wouldn’t exactly describe Busch Stadium as a hitters’ paradise, so it might not be a home run fest, but there’s definitely plenty of opportunities for total bases and hits props.

Saturday’s game is the ideal game to approach because of the matchup with Mikolas. From a personal standpoint, I might avoid Friday’s game because the Phils got into St. Louis late after the ridiculous rain delay situation on Thursday in Atlanta. If you choose to play Friday’s game, DraftKings has a parlay profit boost for parlays or SGPs of at least four legs. As for other PA betting promos and NJ sportsbook promos I’d use Kyle Schwarber for the DK Home Run No Sweat. He has a .500 BA and one home run in six career at-bats versus Pallante. BetMGM has a Home Run Boost Token. ESPNBet has a promoted bet for Schwarber to homer and Nola to have 6 strikeouts, and Bet365 has a 30 percent profit boost on SGPs of three legs or longer.
