According to a report by ESPN's Jerry Crasnick, confirmed by Phillies beat writer Todd Zolecki, the Phillies have re-signed Jimmy Rollins. It is a three-year deal with a vesting option for a fourth year.

CSN's Jim Salisbury reports the deal is worth $33 million over the first three years. Other reports say the fourth year would be for $11 million.

It's pretty clear that the Phillies had the leverage in negotiations– Rollins originally wanted five years, no less. With other potential suitors falling off the table, the deal – at least in terms of years – worked in the Phillies’ favor, though you do have to wonder if years three (and four?) will be productive ones.

The folks from La Salle's Sports Talk Philadelphia spoke to Crasnick just moments before he broke the news. You can listen to that interview after the jump.
