We’re back with another episode of Men At Work live from Rittenhouse Square where we had to dodge multiple protests to find a place to set up. Immediately once we started recording there was a protest here, a brass band so loud the tuba was drowning out my thoughts, and people every which way as they perused for organic jams and new anti-aging elixirs at the farmers market around the park. Saturday morning in the greatest city in the world amirite, folks? It was an attack on the senses, but we powered through to bring this episode to you. We have a world famous musician, a SEPTA supporter that makes a bold claim about lawmakers’ refusal to fund public transportation, and a school administrator that weighs in on the cell phone ban in schools around the country. People aren’t drinking alcohol like they used to either and ChatGPT’s new update is apparently too mean for some people. Packed episode. Fun episode:

Ngl, after talking to Reverend Dave I never thought I’d ever see him again. Then the other night, I was sitting on my couch minding my own business and who do I see but Reverend Dave going HAM in a Senator’s office:

Same Phillies hat, same Phillies lanyard he wore when he was talking to us, and bro was in there for two hours riding for SEPTA chanting along to the harmony of “Fly Eagles Fly.” I don’t agree with every protest, but I respect a guy who lives what he preaches. The deadline for SEPTA funding is coming down to the wire. On August 24th it’s going to be sayonara for some transit lines if they can’t find funding. It’s not looking good. Though have they prayed to St. Anthony yet? It used to work for me back in the day:
