We had chef and restauratuer Michael Solomonov on the show this week live from his spot, Jaffa Bar, in Fishtown. We talked about everything from the Philly food scene currently, how food critics still piss him off, his incredible comeback story from a crack addiction while he was opening one of the best restaurants in the world, and if he gives a shit about the Michelin Star Guide coming to Philly:
This was a really fun episode even if you’re not into cooking or a foodie. My only experience with chefs are from what I’ve seen watching Hell’s Kitchen growing up and The Bear. So I thought Solomonov was going to call us an idiot sandwich or be some depressed wackjob with daddy issues. Luckily he was down to Earth and we shot the shit over a bunch of different things and he even interviewed us, which is a million times better when you have a guest. He even showed us how to cook his famous Zahav hummus. Subscribe to the YouTube to check that video out in the next couple of weeks.
