Make it Three Dallas Sports Teams to Get Rid of Their Best Player in 2025

This is pretty good:
Both 26 years old and both the best players on their respective teams. Both first round picks, one #3 overall and the other drafted 12th. Four Pro Bowls in four years for Parsons and five All-Star nods for Luka over what is essentially the same time period. In return, the Cowboys and Mavericks got Kenny Clark, three first round picks, Anthony Davis, and Max Christie. What a steal!
Here’s a bonus for the soccer fans on here:
FC Dallas went out and acquired 2023 MVP Lucho Acosta from FC Cincinnati back in February. $5 million dollar move. Then they turned out to be bang average and decided to sell Acosta to Brazilian team Fluminense for what was reported to be about $4 million plus add-ons. Acosta didn’t leave Cincy under the best terms, and didn’t exactly excel in Texas, but in terms of pure talent he was the best guy on that roster, no doubt about it.
Anyway, the Stars are one of the two teams that decided not to offload their best player, thus ensuring that they once again lose to the Oilers in the playoffs. Not that we as Flyers fans should be talking, since three conference finals losses in a row would be much preferable to whatever the Chuck Fletcher era was. Regardless, we are in a new era of orange.
The Rangers, meantime, have always been a bit of a head scratcher. They are bang-average this year, but sandwiched a World Series victory between two losing seasons. That was a decade after losing back-to-back World Series. Odd team. They just sort of bumble along and then win it all when nobody expects it.
