Alright then! Talk about a wet fart of a football game. Temple failed to cover the 24.5 against Oklahoma, and failed to do much of anything remotely positive in a 42-3 home loss on Saturday afternoon. Not even a 2-0 start with an SEC team coming to Philly was enough to create an atmosphere worth anything:

College football is alive and well in Philadelphia! Now, some facts from the loss:

  • Evan Simon finished 13 for 25 for 75 yards.
  • Temple ran the ball 27 times for 26 yards.
  • Seven total first downs for the Owls and a 3-16 mark on 3rd down.
  • No turnovers! So that was good.
  • OU outgained the Owls 515 yards to 104 yards.
  • Temple had two plays that went for 15 or more yards.

Other than that, it was great! Now they have Georgia Tech next week, who upset Clemson to improve to 3-0. Could be an ugly one in Atlanta.
