Brian Anderson Gave a Strange Eulogy to Clayton Kershaw’s Career While the Phillies Beat Him Up

What was going on with Brian Anderson during Clayton Kershaw’s Game 3 stint? It sounded like we were listening to a eulogy, but the guy was still alive.
“It is tough to watch Clayton Kershaw struggle like this!”
Was it? Cause I had a blast!
At one point Wednesday night he made it sound like Dave Roberts was throwing the game by leaving Kershaw in for the 8th after he had just got out of the 7th unscathed. Then Anderson couldn’t stop mentioning how no matter what happened this postseason, it won’t be a blemish on his career. Yea we know man, he’s a World Series Champion. First ballot Hall of Famer. I think he’ll be ok. But it’s not like there aren’t plenty of blemishes on his postseason track record either. Kershaw is 13-13 all time with a 4.59 ERA in the postseason. He was abysmal in the beginning of his career, pitched some gems in his prime, and has been forgettable in the twilight. I get that it’s his final season, but the casket isn’t even closed yet. The priest hasn’t even spread that funky-smelling smoky stuff all over the congregation. There’s a chance BA is calling another game that features Kershaw and you would’ve thought they were putting the family dog down and this was the last chance he had to say goodbye. I think my favorite part of that clip is when Anderson goes, “Kershaw deserved that one!” and then reads off the Phillies stat-line from the 8th inning and flubs that the Phillies “opened up Game 3 with an 8-1 victory.” Poetry. That guy was so caught up in grieving Kershaw he forgot how to speak properly.
People were killing him online too:
