Jaire Alexander Steps Away From the Eagles to Focus on Himself Physically & Mentally

Jaire Alexander is stepping away from the Eagles to focus on himself mentally and physically. This broke last night via Jay Glazer:
Alexander didn’t travel to Green Bay in what the Eagles had listed as a knee injury/coach’s decision on the injury report. I assumed this was because he still had to get acclimated to Vic Fangio’s system and maybe it was. Maybe that weekend gave him time to realize his mind wasn’t in this. He’s been on three teams now in a calendar year. Imagine having three different jobs around the country and moving your family each time in less than a year. That would weigh heavy on anyone’s mind. CJ Gardner-Johnson, who went through a similar experience, spoke about it after he got a game ball this weekend:
“I was home for almost two months, bro. Missing ball and being around this group. Y’all brought the love back for me. I’m just happy to be part of a great group.”
It’s crazy that the Eagles have had two mid-season acquisitions just up and quit in the middle of the season. Bad luck and player drama, but the Eagles are 7-2 and first in the NFC. If Howie Roseman pulls off another Super Bowl run with this group it might be his magnum opus.
