Temple announced the signing of 33 players on Wednesday. The program’s recruiting class is ranked No. 62 in the country and No. 1 in the American Conference, according to 247 Sports. Of the signed players, 21 will join the team in January, when the spring semester begins. This is the largest recruiting class in program history.

The class includes a bunch of local three-star guys, like Pennsauken RB Randall Blount, Salem DL Antwuan Rogers, Bonner CB Dylan Abram, Chester ATH Darron Harris, Lower Merion DL Kechan Miller, and Upper Moreland punter Luke Sword.

Roman Catholic receiver Ash Roberts and ATH Eyan Stead also committed to the Owls. Keeler pulled in a few North Jersey kids and a handful of Maryland guys as well.

Last year, for comparison, the Owls had 14 commits and ranked 93rd in the nation, and the year prior, fell out of the top 100 entirely. This season they’re ranked just behind power conference Kansas and Cincinnati and in front of programs like Kentucky, Wisconsin, Baylor, and OK State.

K.C. Keeler has been pretty clear that this is his last coaching stop. He’s not going to raid the portal for one-year mercenaries. He wants to recruit the old-fashioned way and keep local kids in the area. That was the key to the success of the Matt Rhule era, when guys like Jahad Thomas and Haason Reddick and Matt Ioannidis were pulled out of NJ.

Temple gets Penn State at home in 2026. Keeler and the boys vs…. Terry Smith? Who knows!
