Egor Zamula to the NHL Waiver Wire

This was inevitable after Ty Murchison showed well in recent starts, while Rasmus Ristolainen returned in Montreal to lay some big hits on the Canadiens. The NHL roster freeze takes place this weekend and they’ll carry an open spot prior to that happening.
Zamula showed some potential at times but it seemed like he played slow and somewhat soft for his size. He played 13 games this season after logging 129 over the past two years under Torts, but with a top six of Travis Sanheim, Cam York, Emil Andrae, Jamie Drysdale, Nick Seeler, and Risto, with Murchison and Noah Juulsen in the mix, there’s no room for him.
Will Zamula clear? Maybe, but at least we’ll always have this:
