Villanova improved to 18-5 after an 80-73 road win against Georgetown on Saturday.

Apparently a bunch of Terp fans showed up to Capital One Arena to booooooo their former coach, Kevin Willard:

Willard is a good quote, the closest thing we have to Torts since Torts left. He doesn’t give us gems with the same frequency, but we’ll take ’em when we get ’em.

More importantly – is Nova back? They’re 3rd in the Big East. Their losses are to UConn, Michigan, St. John’s, BYU, and Creighton. Three of those teams were ranked inside the top 10 at the time. Willard has these guys on a 7 or 8-seed trajectory right now in his first season after Kyle Neptune ran the program off the rails. They just need a marquee win, and they get another crack at both SJU and UConn, then whatever happens in the Big East tournament.

GO CATS GO
