Matvei Michkov is in the Dominican Republic during the Olympic Break:
Matty Ice is enjoying some downtime in the Caribbean. He’s shooting basketballs from his back, like Markelle Fultz. He’s hitting the weight room, but not the Presidentes. He’s eating sushi with a lady friend and he looks strong and healthy, like he can absorb a hit in the corner and keep his balance. He’s looking like he can take a shift that’s longer than 35 seconds. Just get a Flyers staffer down there with some skinfold calipers and let’s measure that man’s body fat percentage.
As far as I’m concerned, Michkov is looking great. Looks like he’s refreshed and focused. Looks like he’s fit and ready, like he’s gonna be a point-per-game player when he rejoins the Flyers after the Olympic break. Rick Tocchet is gonna have no choice but to put him on the second line and play him on the right wing. I see ten goals, 15 assists, and a fantastic finish to the season. The Tocc lovers on Spittin’ Chiclets are gonna be beside themselves.
