As we dig ourselves out from YET ANOTHER wearying snowfall, let’s revisit John Bolaris ripping Adam Joseph on Saturday night after Joseph said that he worked on an off day:

Bolaris:

“You’re (sic) day off 1/2 days work , are you kidding me . I worked 24/7 , left vacation in Mexico to ALWAYS be present .. it wasn’t WORK , it was my love & passion . To this day I STILL work 24/7 with ZERO pay because it’s my responsibility & my pure passion .. not for the sake of being on TV .. It’s NOT work if you love what you do .. NOT to collect a paycheck , so spare us that you put in a freaking 1/2 days (sic) of “work “ .. on ur day off .. gimme me (sic) a break ..”

Wow! J Bo off the top rope. Nobody is safe from Bolaris’ wrath when a big storm is brewing. Things were getting really testy on the timeline before the snow and I think everybody was on edge because we’re still worn out from the foot of snow and ice that finally melted this past week.

Joseph did not respond directly to the Bolaris broadside, but quote tweeted a comment from someone insinuating that Bolaris is a drunk:

lol

Tell you what, the weather wars are more interesting than the RADIO WARS in Philadelphia right now. We may have to shut down RADIO WARS because nothing is going on. WIP wins with hot take, rage bait radio while recycling three topics (A.J. Brown, Jalen Hurts, Nick Sirianni) and 97.5 just sort of exists. We may have to pivot to the meteorologists ripping each other, or ripping anonymous know-it-alls on social media. It wasn’t even a month ago that Joseph hammered the “wannabe” forecasters and social media “click bait.

Looking at this particular exchange through an ombudsman-like lens, the J Bo excoriation is a little bit much. It’s unprovoked. I don’t think anybody doubts that Adam Joseph is dedicated to his meteorological craft. He’s been forecasting since 1998. He’s always on social media and filming stuff for IG and Facebook while working full-time at Channel 6. I guess you could look at that tweet, “I literally put in a half days work on my day off” and roll your eyes a bit because what else would you expect from an Action News meteorologist when a big storm is in the forecast? It’s all hands on deck when there’s a big weather event, so it’s expected that you would be working instead of watching TV on a day off. That’s why the on-air talent makes the big bucks!

Good spat though. Now, let’s get it back to the Eagles.

UPDATE: J Bo has responded –
