#THWND: St. Joe’s Secures Double Bye in Atlantic 10 Tournament
Five in a row for the Hawks, who beat Davidson on the road to secure a double bye in the A10 tournament:
Nothing to see here, just 23 points from Jaiden Glover-Toscano on 50% three-point shooting (5-10). He’s 6th in the A10 in points per game. The Hawks haven’t lost since February 10th, they’re 20-10, and they’ll finish 21-10 if they can take care of 9-win La Salle at home on Saturday to wrap up the regular season.
The key here is avoiding St. Louis in the tournament semifinals. The Hawks should land on the VCU side of the bracket while Dayton gets the four seed. It’s still a tough road, but this is the first time SJU has had a double by since 2018. Steve Donahue should probably be A10 Coach of the Year considering the circumstances, with Billy Lange quitting on the team and Deuce Jones only lasting 10 games.
The Hawks are a good story. More compelling than the Sixers AT THIS CURRENT MOMENT.
