Howie Roseman Bombshell: “AJ Brown is a Member of the Philadelphia Eagles”

It’s March. We’ve got Opening Day weekend for the Phillies, March Madness, and the Sixers and Flyers making a push for the playoffs. So what else would we be talking about other than A.J Brown trade rumors?
Howie Roseman met with the media on Sunday at the league meetings, and had a stock answer for every single question asked about AJ Brown.
“I understand that there’s interest in the A.J. Brown story. I, unfortunately, don’t have a home under a rock. But my answer to any question on A.J. Brown is A.J. Brown is a member of the Eagles. From my perspective, anything you ask me about A.J. Brown, I’m going to go right back to that answer. But I understand the interest. I put on TV and I see that there’s interest, but my answer is A.J. Brown is a member of the Philadelphia Eagles.” – Howie Roseman
It’s been months of trade rumors regarding the Eagles’ star wide receiver. I’d be shocked if Howie Roseman wasn’t tired of answering questions about it every time he steps up to the mic. Hell, I’m tired of it. It feels like it’s being talked about every single time you turn on Philly sports radio.
Howie Roseman is right, even if it’s the answer the media doesn’t want. A.J Brown is still a member of the Eagles!
The New England Patriots have been the team to watch all offseason. A.J Brown has expressed his desire to play in New England in the past. If a deal is going to happen, which personally, I don’t think one will, the Eagles will wait until after June 1st. It’s nearly a $20M difference in cap hit if it happens before that date.
Roseman has added two veteran receivers to the depth chart already this offseason, agreeing to deals with Hollywood Brown, and most recently Elijah Moore, who is a good friend of Brown’s.
The Eagles shouldn’t be running to trade A.J Brown like some people think. He’s a 4x 1,000 yard receiver with the Eagles. He’s one of the most dominant players in the league when at his best. As Roseman has said in the past, you don’t trade great players just to trade great players.
