Aramark Will Offer a “Boy Aquarium” Cocktail at Flyers Playoff Games
Apparently there’s some TikTok trend going around where women refer to NHL hockey rinks as “boy aquariums.” Google reveals that this was inspired by the Heated Rivalry sports romance series.
As such, Aramark is going to offer The Boy Aquarium Cocktail for the playoffs:

This is a Vodka, Blue Curacao, Sprite, and Mango Boba drink with a Swedish Fish. Not Boba Fett, from Star Wars, but the tapioca pearls from Taiwan. It’s going to be served in a 20 ounce souvenir cup.
In the interest of transparency, I can’t tell you a single thing about Heated Rivalry, but apparently women are really into it and it created somewhat of a surge in female fan interest.
Google’s AI overview pulled this from IMDB:
Heated Rivalry (2025) is a Canadian drama series, based on Rachel Reid’s novel, focusing on the secret, years-long romantic relationship between Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov. As rival NHL stars, they navigate competition, media attention, and homophobia while transitioning from rivals to lovers, with the show exploring themes of love, denial, and self-discovery
Let’s welcome all of the new female hockey fans to the fold.
Side note – is the term “boy aquarium” offensive? These are pro athletes, not objects of sexual desire! (only half kidding). Shouldn’t the libs be furious about this? What if we went to an NWSL game to watch the “girl aquarium?” This feels like a double standard! Someone needs to be cancelled! (fully kidding because we have a backbone and thick skin)
I am sure The Atlantic has already written a 10,000 word think piece about this.
