If you thought the Penguins’ Game 4 win over the Flyers would have Pittsburgh fans thinking they’re on their way to a historic comeback, you may be surprised by what’s happening on Reddit: Penguins fans have noticed that there are tons of seats available for Monday night’s Game 5, and they’re trying to rally to get more Pens fans in the building and make for a raucous atmosphere.

Sadly for them, it doesn’t seem to be working:

Seeing the Flyers win twice in your own building? Damn shame…

Hate to hear this…

So upsetting to hear…

“I don’t know what has happened to the Penguins fans in this town. It seems like there are fewer fans”… This is gut-wrenching to read…

“Pens fans haven’t showed up the way I’d hoped this year”… “The atmosphere is so so”… “Let’s hope game 5 is electric…”

I’m sorry to say this, Trajectory21… but judging from this deeply depressing sub-Reddit, I doubt tonight’s game will electric. Be well, Pens Reddit. Keep your chins up. You will get through this…
