“It’s Clearly an Agenda” – Jaylen Brown Spirals into Madness on Twitch While Complaining About Joel Embiid and the Refs

There are many in sports media who complain about “New Media,” when players hop on their own podcasts and Twitch streams to air out their opinions in real time. You will never hear me complain about this. I love it. Jaylen Brown’s current descent into madness over the Celtics’ humiliating first-round loss to the Sixers is exactly why this stuff rules:

“Flopping has ruined our game. Joel Embiid is a great player. One of the best bigs in fuckin’ basketball history… Flops. He know it. This ain’t breaking news.”

How sick is this? I’m so glad this guy has a microphone and camera in his house. I could listen to him spin out with excuses about this loss for hours and hours. Also so funny for Jaylen to complain about flopping:

And the public unraveling was just getting started. After voicing his Joel flopping complaints, Brown took another bold leap into the oblivion of insanity by doing a play-by-play film breakdown of Game 7 and muttering to himself about a grand conspiracy the refs clearly have against him. Pointing to a Paul George step-back three as proof – insisting that PG uses the exact same push-off that Brown uses – Jaylen says that the refs have been working together to call this push-off on him and him only:

“If you gonna call a push-off, call that. Same move. Same move. Same refs. Oh, it’s nothing? Play on, right? It’s weird activity. You gonna call me, right? And it’s right here, right in front of you. Same move! Same move! Everybody does it. It’s the same move. It’s a three-point play, he makes a three right here. If it would’ve been me, it would’ve been offensive foul. And people saying I’m stiff-arming, I’m Mark (sic)* Henry, stiff-arming people out here, whatever y’all saying. Like, every good basketball player does this. What are y’all talking about? They clearly had an agenda. They clearly had fuckin’ on the red board, ‘If Jaylen does this move, call an offensive foul on him every time.’  I know it’s because I pissed the refs off, I been critical about them, and I called them out a bunch of times, they were like, ‘Yo, I got you. In the playoffs, watch this.’ That’s exactly what they did… Some bullshit… Y’all don’t see it’s an agenda? It’s clearly an agenda. It’s the same move.”

Needless to say, Jaylen Brown is not handling this well. It’s pretty great. Hope he drops a new video exactly like this every day of the offseason.

*Kinkead: pretty sure he meant to say Derrick Henry here, unless the wrestler Mark Henry also delivers stiff arms
