Stick a fork in the Sixers:

They’re done. They kept it close for about three quarters on Friday night then proceeded to go ice cold once again. Couldn’t hit a big bucket if their lives depended on it. Podcast Paul George missed his last nine shots. Joel Embiid didn’t look anything like the player we saw in the Boston series. Tyrese Maxey was once again deferential and didn’t take enough shots. You’ve got $140 million worth of max players out there who failed to meet the occasion.

But HEY! – at least they beat the Celtics! Hang the banner for “exorcising the demons” and getting past the first round. They’re either going to get swept on their home floor in front of a bunch of Knicks fans, or get 4-1’d at Madison Square Garden. It’s over.

(I put as much effort into this blog as the Sixers put into the fourth quarter on Friday night)
