Twitter Talking This German Tourist Out of Visiting Atlantic City Robbed Us of Some Great Content

The last few weeks of the World Cup have given us tons of excellent videos of international tourists experiencing American culture, but everyone in the replies to this German guy’s tweet just robbed us of what could’ve been the best content yet. After this World Cup YouTuber asked whether he should take a day trip to Atlantic City while staying in New York, X users flooded the replies to tell him to stay away:

And sadly, Fiago listened to the suggestions and didn’t end up going to Atlantic City:

Reading through all of this, I can’t help but wonder… What the hell is wrong with everyone? Why did all these X users scare this German guy away from Atlantic City? Big mistake! Wish they had not done that! First and foremost, Atlantic City rules. I love it there. There’s no other place like it in the world. Just about every time I’m in A.C., I see something I have never seen in my life. That’s fun. That’s good stuff. That’s an exciting, cool characteristic of a place. And to think that we almost had a German guy with no knowledge of Atlantic City wandering around making videos of what he saw and experienced is heartbreaking, because that’s some content I would’ve loved to watch. Imagine it…

Fiago trying to squeeze in at a Borgata roulette table with a bunch of chain-smoking bros in Kangol hats. Fiago eating a $120 filet mignon at Ocean Steak next to a table with a woman in Batman pajama pants. Fiago eyeing Fred Durst’s orange Yankees hat in a bulletproof glass display case in the Hard Rock lobby. Fiago at Angeloni’s Club Madrid ordering a cocktail that comes with a loose cigarette. Fiago at White House Subs trying to imagine The Beatles eating there that one time. Fiago vlogging about the signs on the boardwalk telling everyone not to feed the stray cats. Fiago marveling at DJ Pauly D while standing in lukewarm water at The Pool After Dark. Fiago asking people on the street if and when The Irish Pub is supposed to open again. Fiago being awestruck by the different-colored water slides protruding from Showboat, tears filling his eyes…

This could’ve been some great stuff. I thought the internet would’ve known better than to rob us of this. But I guess now’s a good opportunity to remind everyone: Never, ever tell someone not to go to Atlantic City. Something good, or at the very least interesting, always comes out of popping over to A.C.
