Dave Matthews Band Shares Fan Advisory Ahead of 400 Millionth Show in Camden
Meantime:
Dave is playing at the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion on Friday and Saturday. I believe is this the 47th year in a row that he has played back-to-back shows in Camden. Artificial intelligence says its 40 shows in Camden, but that feels low to me. I thought the number was closer to 400 million. There’s a guy on Twitter at @kev87lads who is a Dave Matthews nut, like a total DMB cultist, and he said two years ago that we are already on shows 48 and 49, which means we’re pushing 50 now:
Hi. It’s me. I’m the DMB problem. It’s me. Shows 48 and 49 for the record. Just your friendly DMB editor.

Anyway – this advisory is funny. Not only does it say “TODAY,” which is wrong, but it says “celebration.iple options,” which suggests that Howard Eskin possibly crafted and published this tweet. That, or someone fat fingered it on their phone or smoked a bowl of the sweetest cheebah before posting it. Maybe both at the same time.
The Ben Franklin Bridge is closed on Saturday because the Delaware River Port Authority is doing a free 100 year anniversary event. You can actually walk the bridge and enjoy some food trucks and live music and family activities and whatnot. It should be pretty wild. Can’t wait to see the pictures and video that come out of it.
By the way, which Dave do you think shows up this weekend? Is it the pissed off Dave who booted a fan from a show in 2023? Or is the Dave who does the goofy dances? He doesn’t have any songs where he needs to be dancing like this:
