Sylvana Kelleher is the producer and third mic on 97.5 the Fanatic’s afternoon show, Unfiltered, and she announced on Thursday that she’s leaving the station:

“Many of you guys know I lost my dad two years ago, almost two years, and he was the reason I loved sports and he was really my hero. Last year really changed my life and my interests and my passion and it’s still hard… I’ve really honestly struggled since he has passed, it’s especially difficult to get through…”

She describes a tough situation with her dad’s health, and the ensuing anxiety from his passing. Which, I gotta say, it takes guts to get on the mic and be honest like that, to talk openly about personal struggles and admit that the passion just isn’t there anymore. It’s hard to walk away from a decent job and accept that change is necessary, so her candor really is commendable.

Kelleher stepped into the PM drive slot following the departure of Jen Scordo, who was caught up in a 2024 round of Beasley layoffs.* She’s a Temple grad who started at the station in 2023.

It sounds like the Fanatic will use an assortment of producers for Unfiltered until settling on a replacement.

*Looks like Scordo just got a gig with Beasley as the midday host over at WXTU.
